2026 Berlinale Award Winners Announced
The competition section featured 22 films, with productions from 28 countries represented.
The Berlin Film Festival announced the winners of the International Jury Prizes for its 2026 competition section on February 21. Here is the full list of winners:
Golden Bear for Best Film

Silver Bear for Best Director

Anna Calder-Marshall and Tom Courtenay in Queen at Sea
Silver Bear for Best Screenplay
Geneviève Dulude-de Celles for Nina Roza
Silver Bear for Outstanding Artistic Contribution
Yo (Love is a Rebellious Bird) by Anna Fitch and Banker White
Filmmaker Wim Wenders served as president of the festival's international jury. The competition section featured 22 films, with productions from 28 countries represented.
At the opening gala, Michelle Yeoh received the Honorary Golden Bear, which was presented by Sean Baker. During the festival, composer Max Richter was honored with the Berlinale Camera; a speech was given by filmmaker Chloé Zhao, with whom Richter most recently collaborated on Hamnet.
