Cady, Kelly and Pfister to Teach ASC Online Master Class
This session will be held Nov. 2-3 and feature lighting demos and live instruction from top cinematographers.
The final ASC Master Class for 2024 is set to start on November 2 and three primary instructors have been confirmed:
Patrick Cady, ASC (Girlfight, In Treatment, Bosch)
Kira Kelly, ASC (Queen Sugar, Insecure, Echo)
Wally Pfister, ASC (Memento, Batman Begins, Inception)
Also joining the session is Company 3 colorist Bryan Smaller, an ASC associate member, who will lead the discussion on what his grading process is, how he works with the cinematographer and the production team, how to best utilize a colorist throughout all stages of production and how to maintain and enhance your visual work through grading.
This class can be attended by participants located anywhere in the world. Derived and adapted from our signature in-person Master Classes, the seminar will have live interactions and Q&A with some of the world’s top working cinematographers.
The class size will be limited.
The planned curriculum — including two pre-recorded lighting demonstrations, selected film clips, live instruction and interactive discussion periods — is designed to last about 6 1/2 hours per day, with each session starting at 7.30 AM Pacific Daylight Time (10:30 AM New York; 3:30 PM London; 4:30 PM Berlin; 9:00 PM Mumbai; 11:30 PM Beijing).
